- Open year-round except January 1, December 25 and Easter Sunday. Start-of-visit hours are seasonal: 7:30 AM–2:00 PM Dec; to 3:00 PM Jan/Nov; 4:00 PM Feb; 5:00 PM Mar/Oct; 6:00 PM Apr/May/Sep; 7:00 PM Jun–Aug.
- Time to allow
- Allow at least about 1 hour at Auschwitz I plus 1 hour at Auschwitz II-Birkenau; the standard guided tour lasts about 3.5 hours.

- Admission to the Memorial grounds is free; fees apply for guided educator services. From March 1, 2026 all individual entry cards, including free entry, must be reserved online.

- Strongly recommended due to high demand; arrive at least 30 minutes before the reserved tour.

- Wheelchairs and walkers may be borrowed free. Some historic spaces are inaccessible to wheelchair users; Auschwitz I requires about 1.3 km of walking and Birkenau more than 2 km.
